Research Agenda is the news service for UK research – original reporting, trackers and a morning briefing, from the team behind Wonkhe. The brand is editorial first: ink and paper, one green, one flash of lime, and typography doing the work. This page is the single source of truth; the asset pack at the foot has everything ready to use.
"Research Agenda." set in Hanken Grotesk ExtraBold, tracking −0.01em, always with the full point. The full point is always lime – the letters carry the contrast, the point carries the flash, on every ground.
Where the full wordmark will not fit – avatars, favicons, app icons – use RA. in the same setting, same lime point. The social avatar is the mark centred on an ink square. The official page is linkedin.com/company/research-agenda-news.
An editorial palette: ink and paper do the talking, the green is the working accent (links, kickers, the point on paper), and lime is the flash – small doses, high impact: the point on ink, chips, underlines, never large fields of text on it.
The site ships a full dark palette – ink flips to #F2F3F1 on #101214, the green brightens to #2FBE7C, cards sit on #16191D. Digital work should support both; print works from the light palette.
Data series use a fixed four-colour order, validated for colour-blind separation and contrast on both grounds. Assign in order, never cycle, never reuse for status.
Every chart carries the wordmark bottom-right – they travel as screenshots. The live reference is at /viz-demo.html.
Five faces, five jobs. The working faces – National 2 and the Tiempos family – are licensed from Klim Type Foundry and self-hosted; the wordmark stays Hanken Grotesk (the logo, not the UI font), and the mono is Martian Mono. Caps are tracked with restraint: 0.08em for labels and eyebrows, 0.04–0.05em for small mono metas – never wider than 0.10em. (The one exception is Haldane’s ornamental section divider.)
The column wears the hat, writes in Tiempos, and bolds the names of people as they enter – political-diary style. Haldane is never bylined and never explained.

Everything above, ready to use. The SVG type is drawn as outlines, so the files render correctly in browsers, decks and design tools alike – no font needed.
